Brian Gavin Signature Quadex, Blue Diamond Melee and Marquise Diamond Engagement Ring…

Kirk, a local Houston customer, called in at the end of May to discuss the purchase of a 1 carat Brian Gavin Signature Quadex diamond with Denise. He also wanted to set up a time to come in and discuss the creation of a custom platinum ring with Brian Gavin. He wanted Brian to design a ring based on the Josette with some adjustments. He also requested that the small round bezel set stones be blue sapphires. He called back to ask if we could use topaz instead as the blue sapphires were going to be too dark once bezel set, and Brian explained that the topaz were not cut in the 1.1mm size that we needed. We ended up using aqua blue color treated diamond melee and F/G VS marquise diamonds.

We e-mailed the first CAD rendition and he commented as follows:

From the elevation view, the part under the center stone looks similar to a butterfly shape. Can you modify this a bit, since she hates butterflies. If you could make it heart shaped or similar that would be brilliant, but as long as it doesn't resemble a butterfly I'll be ok. Other than that it looks great.

We adjusted the CAD and resent it – Kirk was pleased and gave instruction to proceed.

We completed the ring and Kirk came in to pick it up. He proposed and then called in to come back with his fiancée, Anali, to have the ring size slightly adjusted. Another very satisfied customer and another beautiful Brian Gavin Creation!
