Brian Gavin’s 18K White Gold Princess Cut Diamond Engagement Ring is Voted “the Best Diamond Ring I Have Seen” by Customer’s Friend…
In June a former customer of ours, who we had worked with on several diamond jewelry purchases, contacted us directly to help him with his princess cut diamond engagement ring purchase. Knowing Brian Gavin's reputation, he felt that Brian would be the best person to help him find what he wanted. It took 2 months for us to secure a 2 carat ideal cut princess cut diamond in the size/color/clarity range with AGS ideal light performance and the customer was extremely satisfied.
Once we had secured the diamond from the factory, we discussed the setting. He had seen the pictures of the 3 prong martini setting with scattered diamond band here on the blog and was after something similar with 4 prongs. He e-mailed us a modified picture to show what he wanted. We worked up the CAD Images for him and proceeded to caste and set his beautiful 2 carat princess diamond and the Brian Gavin Signature H & A diamond melee into the shank. We also set a hidden pink sapphire inside the shank. It was shipped out at the end of September.
We received the following wonderful e-mail yesterday:
Hi Lesley, I've been so busy lately that I haven't gotten a chance to send you a note about what I thought of the ring. I picked it up during lunch last week and ripped through the FedEx package, wore the white gloves, and opened up the box. My first reaction was an audible, "wow." The ring looks exactly how I had pictured it (and way better than how the CAD showed it). It is simply beautiful. I can't thank you and Brian enough for helping me get the stone and create a custom setting in such a short period of time. I am so glad I listened to Brian's advice on picking the stone. I took it home that night and showed my parents who were blow away by how much it sparkled and how classy the setting looked. It was amazing, and a great testament to Brian's work, to see even the smaller, scattered stones on the band sparkle beautifully. I sent pics of it all around to my friends and everyone loved it. One of my friends noted, "you know that is easily the best diamond ring I have seen – who chose it?? Well done!!!" I proposed to her last Saturday in Philadelphia and it went great. She said yes (of course!), and I slipped it on her finger. Because she knows almost nothing about diamonds, I was more than excited to tell her all about the stone, the process I went through and how I worked on sending Brian rough paint drawings on how I wanted the setting. Before I got to tell her about it, she called her sister who asked her "what kind of diamond is it?" She just looked at it and said, "I'm not really sure?" Lol, I had to tell her it was a 2 ct. princess cut, eye clean stone w/AGS ideal light performance. She still looked at me clueless, but I just said, "do you notice how much it sparkles? That's all that matters." I caught her the next day looking at her ring more than a few times 🙂 Nissan
