"This design is totally Brian's brain-child. I just threw a bunch of pictures at him with parts of things I liked , we talked twice with him asking me very specific questions (is it a flat design or does it have dimension, do you see prongs anywhere, is the outline more architectural or organic) and … TA DA. I was totally expecting to have to go back and forth and back and forth… but he just 'got' it. It was like a magic trick! Seriously. No micro-management needed, just 'here's what I'm thinking' and POOF, perfect outline! YAY! I was just astonished when I opened the files up. Brian like… FOCUSES on you completely when you talk, and really tries to see into you. I can't believe how quickly he was able to just pop into my head and pull it out!"
At the beginning of February, I was contacted by a customer who expressed interest in having me create a unique diamond pendant for her using my Brian Gavin Signature hearts and arrows. She e-mailed me all sorts of pictures for inspiration, and working with our talented CAD designers we first came up with a line drawing and then an actual CAD of the pendant. The wax followed and finally the magnificent finished piece. The pendant can also be worn as a brooch which was a special surprise for the customer.
It was so wonderful to be able to let my creativity flow in all sorts of ways, both with the design and creation of the piece and with photographing all the different stages. I am so thankful to be involved on a such a personal level with my customers again and I look forward to creating many more pieces of beautiful diamond jewelry with them.
