You can get a 2.00 carat, VVS-2 clarity, fancy intense yellow, fancy colored diamond from Brian Gavin, but priced at $32,750.00 this diamond is probably a much more affordable option for most people. At seven carats, it would not surprise me if the diamond presented to that celebrity cost somewhere in the range of half a million to $750,000.00 or more, if it is at least VS-1 in clarity and Fancy Intense or Fancy Vivid.
One of the challenges that people face when shopping for fancy colored diamonds, is that there is a wide range of options available in terms of the intensity of colors within each spectrum of color. For example, fancy yellow color diamonds such as the one set in the center of that famous celebrity’s diamond engagement ring, are available in the following range of intensity: faint, very light, light, fancy light, fancy, fancy dark, fancy intense, fancy vivid, and fancy deep.
And then there is the matter of undertones and overtones, which mean that the primary color of the fancy color diamond might be one color, but might have traces with are brownish, greenish, yellowish, pinkish, purplish, grayish, orangey, reddish, or bluish… and the color of the diamond can be natural, or the result of the diamond being heat treated, or irradiated (which will be indicated under the comments section of the diamond grading report).

To put this in perspective, the diameter of the eraser on a standard #2 pencil is 6.50 mm, so it’s about the size of two of them placed on your finger, side-by-side.
